This very friendly dragonfly has been visiting me in the backyard the last few days. It has a broken wing and both eyes have damage. It still maneuvers fast and has very normal dragonfly behavior, except this one seems to like attention. It keeps circling me and repeatably lands very close. It jumps on my hand and sits still while I lift it to eye level. Yesterday, it even landed on the rim of my yogurt cup that I was holding. This is very different behavior then what I have experienced with other dragonflies. This one has something very calming and beautiful about it. Everyday I look for my new friend when I’m out in the yard.
