Mendenhall Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in North America. The glacier is about 13.6 miles (21.9 km) long located in Mendenhall Valley, about 12 miles (19 km) from downtown Juneau. The bright blue ice is flowing from the Juneau Ice Field.
